Audio On Loop 1

Call for works from artists currently working in Australia ......

The first Audio On Loop will rotate 10 works per fortnight from Thursday the 18th of June till Saturday the 18th of July 2009.

Audio On Loop is a multi-channel heaphone installation curated by Damian Castaldi. Loop Space currently has the opportunity to showcase work from around Australia with a focus on a series of acousmatic sound installations. The series will focus on audio only headphone listening projects and is an opportunity to promote work within the stimulating context of Renew Newcastle. See http://www.renewnewcastle.org/

Works should be: Original in theme, experimental by nature, produced in the last 2 to 3 years and representative of the artists genre. No specified duration or style but works produced specifically for headphone listening will be given special consideration. Artists should provide a one paragraph abstract with all work.

When: The first Audio On Loop will open on Thursday the 18th of June till Saturday the 18th of July 2009.

Where: Loop Space gallery, 109 Hunter St Newcastle. A sound and digital media space opened as part of Marcus Westbury’s Renew Newcastle initiative.

Deadline: There is no submission deadline as this is an ongoing project. For Audio On Loop 1, the sooner the work arrives at Loop Space the sooner it is installed.
